During the day, the individual is provided with continuous professional assistance, including support for vital functions and/or the development of independence.

• Day social care services are provided at the Day Activity Centre of Valakampiai Social Services Home.

• The Day Activity Centre provides day social care services to 20 persons with intellectual disabilities, from 3 hours per day up to 5 days per week.
• The Day Activity Centre provides the following services: development of communication, cooperation and decision-making skills; organization and/or provision of daytime activities (handicrafts, arts and crafts, healthy lifestyle skills, etc.) at the institution and/or outside it; development, maintenance and/or restoration of daily personal hygiene skills; organization of meals (if the service is provided for more than 5 hours per day); assistance with eating or feeding; organization of leisure activities; organization and/or provision of healthcare services; organization and/or provision of transport services; and other services required according to the individual’s level of independence.
