Continuous professional assistance is provided to an individual every day of the week or on a 24-hour basis, including support for vital functions and/or the development of independence, in crisis situations or when family members, guardians or carers are temporarily unable, for certain reasons (illness, business trips, holidays, family or work commitments, etc.), to care for individuals requiring continuous care, either temporarily or during the working week.

Short-term social care is provided for more than 10 hours per day, for up to 6 months per calendar year, or for up to 5 days per week for an indefinite period.

  • Short-term social care services are provided at the Short-Term Care Centre of the budgetary institution Valakampiai Social Services Home.
  • The Short-Term Care Centre provides services to up to 15 persons with severe intellectual and multiple disabilities at a time.
