Creating a home-like environment and providing the necessary services to individuals (families) who do not require continuous, intensive care, enabling them to manage their personal (family) lives independently.

  • Accommodation in an independent living home is provided at the Independent Living Home of the budgetary institution Valakampiai Social Services Home.
  • The Independent Living Home provides accommodation services for up to 30 persons (including families) with intellectual disabilities. They are provided with a home-like environment and the necessary services, enabling them to manage their personal lives independently with the assistance of social workers and individual care workers.
  • Residents manage their daily lives independently; however, when necessary, staff assist them with visiting a doctor or bank, going to various institutions to arrange documents, shopping, preparing meals, managing household tasks, caring for children, etc. Each resident has different abilities and needs; therefore, assistance is provided individually according to each person’s needs.

Accommodation at the “Savi namai” Independent Living Home involves creating a home-like environment and providing the necessary services to individuals (families) with psychosocial disabilities who do not require continuous, intensive care, enabling them to manage their personal (family) lives independently.

  • The Independent Living Home provides social care and accommodation services to 28 persons with psychosocial disabilities who have been assessed as requiring independent living home services.
  • Individuals (families) are provided with the conditions to manage their household independently – carry out household chores, prepare meals, shop, manage their finances, and pay utility bills and other expenses.
  • Residents plan and carry out their daily activities independently, with partial assistance from social workers or individual care workers.
