On December 5, we celebrated International Volunteer Day. We chose a lighthouse as the symbol of this celebration. A lighthouse illuminates the way and shines its light for others, just as people who choose to volunteer share their inner light with those who need it.
On this day, we invited our volunteers to a warm and welcoming celebration, where we expressed our appreciation for their initiative, their help in organizing activities and leisure opportunities for our service users, as well as the individual attention and sincere companionship they provide.
We congratulate all the volunteers of Valakampiai Social Services Home and sincerely thank you for dedicating your time to volunteering and for your kindness and generosity.
Perhaps you will inspire others to take up volunteering as well. We look forward to welcoming new volunteers!
