“Judge a person not by what their mother says about them, but by what their neighbours say,” “A neighbour is closer than a relative.” Such sayings, and many others highlighting the importance of good neighbourly relations, were already well known to our grandparents and are common among different cultures. Recognising the importance of good neighbourly relations, we invited all our neighbours to gather on September 20 in the courtyard of our institution to socialise, listen to songs performed by a resident of Vilniaus Lakštingalos Namai, enjoy a cup of coffee and some refreshments.
We sincerely thank everyone who joined us. Thank you for your warmth and for spending this time together. We look forward to continuing to foster good relationships with all our neighbours and to organising another Neighbours’ Celebration next year. We wish you every success, dear neighbours!
