Do you remember when the Independent Living Home community had barely returned from sunny Turkey and already started making plans for their 2023 holidays?
At that time, we promised to share the results of putting those plans into action with you. A promise is a serious matter, so the team at the Independent Living Home Dream Fulfilment Office, together with the organisation’s travel experts, presents the following report:
From May 14 to 21, 2023, we spent our holiday at the 4-star **ALEGRIA CAPRICI VERD** hotel in Spain, with an **all-inclusive** package.
Food: 5 out of 5. Compared to the 5-star hotel in Turkey, we liked the food in Spain better, as its flavours and aromas were closer to the cuisine of our own country. Of course, we also tried some “exotic” foods – squid, mussels and shrimp – as well as traditional Spanish dishes and drinks such as “Jamón”, “Sangria”, “Paella” and “Gazpacho”.
Hotel: comfortable, spacious and modern, with heated swimming pools, a sauna, a gym, snack bars and wonderful relaxation areas.
Hotel location: close to the train station and shops, with a soft sandy beach right next to the hotel.

Weather: for those who want to spend their time actively and see as many sights as possible, May is the perfect month for travelling. However, if you do not like swimming in cold seawater, we would not recommend it. The most memorable places we visited: Sagrada Familia (Basilica of the Holy Family in Barcelona), Camp Nou Stadium (football stadium in Barcelona), Barcelona Cruise Port (cruise ship port), Ciutat Vella (Old Town), Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, L’Arc de Triomf (Triumphal Arch), Monumento a Colón (Columbus Monument), Barceloneta Park.
Luggage recommendation: take the biggest suitcase you can, because your purchases simply won’t fit otherwise. It’s impossible to resist the high-quality sportswear and footwear. P.S. We had to share suitcase space with each other.
