Most of us have probably heard about the wonderful mission carried out by **“Red Noses Clowndoctors”**, who visit sick children and, through their humorous performances, help them forget about the hospital environment, even if only for a little while. However, not everyone may know that they visit not only hospitals, but also **nursing homes and social care institutions**.
The COVID-19 quarantine significantly restricted the cultural and social lives of all of us, but it did not diminish our desire for new experiences, encounters, and joyful moments. Therefore, we were delighted when **“Red Noses”** decided to visit the **Valakampiai Social Services Home**.
After the **“Red Noses”** visit, the residents confirmed that they had greatly enjoyed the performances. Their opinion was also shared by occupational specialist **Viktorija Kuodytė**, who noted: “We were amazed by the positive energy of the **RED NOSES** clowns, which the performers managed to pass on to the residents of our institution. The wide variety of performances, individual attention, and bold and humorous interaction brought smiles to the faces of both residents and staff. The healing power of the clowns was reflected in smiles, hugs, and active participation. We are grateful for this beautiful and meaningful initiative.”
The **“Red Noses”** performances had a very positive impact on the residents, so we agreed that they would visit us again in the future.
We would like to thank **“Red Noses”** – people whose hearts are filled with kindness, compassion, warmth, and love. Your humour and positivity are greatly needed in today’s world. May they always stay with you, and may your own lives be filled with joy and goodness.
